Sunraysia Stays Guest Guidelines
At Sunraysia Stays, we are committed to providing a welcoming environment for all travellers, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, political persuasion, or physical or mental impairment. However, to ensure a positive experience for all, we ask that guests adhere to the following House Rules during their stay.
Expected Behaviour
All guests are expected to behave in a manner that allows others to enjoy their stay peacefully and comfortably. The following behaviours are not acceptable:
- Harassment: Any form of harassment or actions that make employees or other guests feel uncomfortable and/or unsafe.
- Aggressive Behaviour: Verbal abuse, intimidation, or any aggressive conduct.
- Infectious Diseases: Guests with a notifiable, infectious disease that could pose a health and safety risk to others.
- Noise: Excessive noise that disrupts other guests.
- Alcohol and Substance Abuse: Excessive consumption of alcohol or being under the influence of illegal substances.
- Anti-Social Behaviour: Any actions that disrupt the peaceful environment of the hostel.
- Personal Hygiene: Poor personal hygiene that is likely to cause offence to others.
- Filming/Photographing: Recording or photographing any person on the premises without their consent.
- Unauthorized Visitors: Guests allowing unauthorised visitors or providing them with access codes; all guests are required to sign in at the Hostel Office.
Alcohol Policy: Alcohol is not permitted to be consumed onsite. However, there are numerous restaurants, pubs, and bars within walking distance of the hostel. We kindly ask that guests do not bring alcohol back into the hostel.
Illegal Activities
Sunraysia Stays enforces a zero-tolerance policy for illegal activities. Any unlawful conduct may result in immediate eviction and the involvement of local authorities. Prohibited activities include:
- Breach of public health orders.
- Possession, use, sale, and/or distribution of illegal substances.
- Wilful damage to Sunraysia Stays property or the property of others.
- Theft of personal belongings, including food left in the guest kitchens.
- Smoking or vaping in non-smoking areas.
- Interfering with fire protection measures on the property.
Property Guidelines
To ensure smooth operations and the safety of all guests, Sunraysia Stays has the following guidelines:
- Check-in Requirements: Guests must present valid photo identification at check-in.
- Checkout Times: Guests are expected to adhere to the designated checkout times.
- Damages: Guests are liable for any damages or costs incurred by their actions, including false fire alarm activations.
- Advance Payment: All accommodation payments must be made in advance by the guest.
- Health and Safety: Guests are responsible for their own health and safety and must not engage in actions that jeopardise the safety of others.
- Special Accommodation Needs: Sunraysia Stays may not be able to accommodate guests whose care would place an unreasonable burden on staff or other guests.
Guest Conduct
- Team Instructions: At times, property staff may need to issue additional instructions. All guests are expected to comply with reasonable requests from the team.
- Aggressive Behaviour: Aggressive or threatening behaviour towards staff will not be tolerated.
Consequences for Violating House Rules
Failure to follow the House Rules may result in the following actions:
- Guests may be asked to leave the premises.
- Suspension of stay or refusal of entry.
